Each year, the ARES\u00a0 offers the chance to pursue a one-year specialised master\u2019s degree programme or a 4-to-6-month advanced\u00a0training course within a higher education institution of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Belgium.<\/p>\n

Nationals of Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Ecuador, Ethiopia (only for training courses in English<\/em>), Haiti, Madagascar, Morocco, Niger, Peru, the Philippines, the DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, and Vietnam<\/p>\n

Scholarship value\/inclusions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The scholarship covers international travel expenses, living allowance, registration fees, insurance, housing allowance, etc.<\/p>\n

Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n

For a request to be valid, the applicant must:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Be a citizen of a developing country. To be eligible, applicants must be residing and working in their country of origin when they apply;<\/li>\n
  2. Only nationals of the following countries may apply for grants from ARES:\u00a0Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Ecuador, Ethiopia (only for training courses in English<\/em>), Haiti, Madagascar, Morocco, Niger, Peru, the Philippines, the DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, and Vietnam<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
  3. Be\u00a0under the age of 40 for degree programs, and under 45 for training courses<\/strong>, at the time the training is scheduled to begin;<\/li>\n
  4. Have earned a diploma comparable to a graduate-level diploma from Belgian university studies. Nevertheless, for certain training courses, different requirements may be requested, which will be specified below;<\/li>\n
  5. Possess\u00a0relevant professional experience<\/strong>\u00a0in a developing country\u00a0of at least two years after graduate studies<\/strong>, or of three years after their studies if the applicant has earned a post-grad degree from a university in an industrialized country;<\/li>\n
  6. Have good mastery of written and spoken French. For training courses held in another language, it is essential to have a proper level in the course\u2019s language, both written and spoken. We shall insist that the applicant commit to learning French in order to take part in daily life in Belgium;<\/li>\n
  7. Apply for only\u00a0one training course<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Applicants should not obtain prior admission to one of the Francophone universities in Belgium in order to be considered for ARES grants.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    To apply for the scholarship, complete the scholarship application form and send to ARES (rue Royale 180, 1000 Brussels, Belgium) BY POST <\/strong>or EXPRESS DELIVERY SERVICE ONLY<\/strong>, which must have received it by\u00a07<\/strong>\u00a0February 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    *Before 10 January 2020<\/strong>\u00a0for the following courses:<\/p>\n
