The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (Necta) has announced the results of Standard Seven National Examinations on Tuesday, October 23 saying the pass rates have improved by 4.96 per cent.
A total of 733,103 out of 943,318 students who sat for the exams, the equivalent of 77.72 per cent, have passed.
Necta executive secretary Charles Msonde said that 382,830 of those who passed were girls while the remaining 350,273were males.
In comparison with last year’s performance, Dr Msonde said the overall performance has improved to 77.72 per cent this year compared to 72.76 per cent of last year.
