DRIVERS II – 3 POSTS
Minimum Entry Qualifications
Holder of Form IV Certificate with passes in Kiswahili and English plus a clean valid Driving License at appropriate class (C) with Driving Certificate Grade II from a recognized Institution such as NIT or VETA. Possess Trade Test Grade II or Advanced Driver Certificate (VIP Course ) or Motor Vehicle Mechanics is an added advantage
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Drives pool University vehicles safely.
- Maintains logbooks.
- Ensure safety of passenger (s) during driving
- Ensures safe-keeping of the vehicle and its tools
- Maintains disciplined behavior, smartness and proper conduct in rendering
- Maintains cleanliness of the vehicle and tools
- Reports promptly any defects or problems detected in the vehicle.
- Undertakes minor repairs when necessary.
- Performs messengerial duties such as dispatching documents/letters and collecting mail.
- Checks validity of insurance, TLB, Plying fees etc and reports the same to the Transport Officer for necessary action.
- Performs any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.

- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities; must be able to meet deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning meetings, including scheduling, printing of agendas and other materials, and taking and circulating meeting minutes as required.
- Assist in creating databases and spreadsheets; help maintain program records, including updating assigned program checklists, work plans, tracking sheets, photocopy, scan, print, and file documents.
- Maintain office equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting issues; as needed, schedule repairs of office equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of program offices/premise
- Ensures consistent availability of program supplies by regularly checking stocks and anticipating needs; maintains records of supply stocks.
- Stocks office, clinical supplies and delivers supplies to work stations as needed.
- Supports travel arrangements including hotel booking and transportation arrangements.
Experience
Two or more years of experience in office and administration assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Take history, perform physical examination, and initiate diagnostic work-up of children in allocated Paediatric Haematology and Oncology care areas.
- Provide emergency care and resuscitation of children in allocated Paediatric Haematology and Oncology care areas.
- Assess and treat complications of cancer and/or blood diseases and their treatment in allocated Paediatric Haematology and Oncology care areas.
- Perform bedside invasive procedures including bone marrow aspirate and biopsy, lumbar puncture, intrathecal chemotherapy administration, and other procedures and duties as may be instructed by the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology attending/faculty.
- Present succinct summaries of patients at ward rounds, in clinics, tumor boards, and at other clinical activities. Maintain a medically, physically, emotionally, and aesthetically safe and conducive clinical working environment.
- Liaise with research assistants, coordinators, and nurses in conducting research related to Paediatric Haematology and Oncology according to SOPs.
- Ensure ethical conduct of research in allocated Paediatric Haematology and Oncology areas, and report any suspicion of unethical.
- Take part in all stages of QI and research activities of the program.
Experience
At least two years post internship. Having worked with children (Paediatrics) is an added advantage.
