Community Health Officer
RECRUITING DEPARTMENT: Health Department.
REPORTS TO: Project Manager
DUTY STATION: KASULU (KIGOMA)
QUALIFICATIONS: BACHELOR DEGREE IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT OR ,SOCIO WORK .
EXPERIENCE: at least 5 years working in community development projects, at least 2 years Red Cross experience
LANGUAGES: Swahili and English
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the implementation and supervision of all planned community activities
- Responsible for conducting community meetings with relevant stakeholders for the identification of community health interventions
- Responsible for liaising with government officials for the planning and implementation of all community activities
- Responsible for supervision and monitoring the selected community health volunteers on selected health topics (i.e. malaria, hygiene and sanitation, maternal health) and on Behaviour Change interventions
- Compile and collect data field for evaluation indicators of verifiable objectives
- An overseer of day to day activities of community health volunteers
- Advice the project manager on improvement of community health interventions
- Prepare activity and progress reports at the end of week, month and year
- Supervise and provide technical support to the Community Health Volunteers
- Act as Project Manager in his/her absence
- Identification of community health activities to be implemented in an eventual project proposal.
- Ability to use computer software package (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Perform any other duties assigned by his/her supervisors from time to time.
- Work closely with the Spanish Red Cross Delegate in the area, provide support for the good running of the operation.

Project Manager
RECRUITING DEPARTMENT: Health Department
REPORTS TO: Director of Health
DUTY STATION: Simanjiro-(Manyara Region)
QUALIFICATIONS: BACHELOR DEGREE IN WATER ENGENEERING/ WATER AND SANITATION
EXPERIENCE: At least 10 years of program management experience
LANGUAGES: Swahili, English .
RESPONSABILITIES:
- In charge of all WATSAN activities at technical and economic level.
- Leads team in planning and organization of monthly activities according to chronogram of the project. Achieve the desired and expected output with level of efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of activities.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting activity and results reports, at the end of week, month and year.
- Analysis writing skills in English, provide extensive revision to all project documents and accomplish deadlines.
- Report according to the predetermined intervals as required by donors and headquarters.
- Responsible for the implementation and supervision of the work constructions and rehabilitation of water infrastructure’s (bore holes, latrines and rain water harvesting). Preparation and supervision of all procurements documents in coordination with WATSAN Engineer in headquarters and civil engineer from Simanjiro district, and any other.
- Organize and maintain regular meetings with project staff, SRC delegate, district Government and beneficiaries from communities.
- Work closely with the Spanish Red Cross Delegate in the area, provide support for the good running of the operation.
- Provide the required supervision to the work of all human resources/staff in the project.
- To represent the National Society in the meetings called upon stakeholders: Government, Donors, other. Knowledge of the Red Cross Movement, work with other National Societies.
- To ensure that all processes are in line with TRCS guidelines and procedures and donors.
- To be the custodian of TRCS property in the area of operation.
- Ability to use computer software package (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Public Relations.
- Identification of needs to be implemented in an eventual project proposal.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time by his/her superiors.
DRIVERS JOBS
Driver
RECRUITING DEPARTMENT: Health Department.
REPORTS TO: Project Manager
DUTY STATION: Simanjiro-(Manyara Region)
QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced Driver’s Certificate, Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics. Valid Tanzania Driving License
EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years working as a professional driver. Previous experience driving Red Cross vehicles
LANGUAGES: Swahili and English .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To drive TRCS vehicle in safe courteous manner at all times according to TRCS Standard procedures.
- To drive TRCS vehicle in a dirt road and in bad conditions (e-g rains…) in the rural area of Simanjiro communities
- Responsible for the proper use and security of TRCS vehicles and other assigned equipment.
- To ensure that the assigned vehicle is clean at all times.
- Compliance with working hours as instructed. Must work in accordance with the operational requirements of TRCS.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections
- Check vehicle for safety (tyres, puncture, engine oil, water dashboard lights and battery components) before use each day and see to it that Insurance and Registration are done in time
- Responsible for all vehicles equipment (jack, spare-wheel, first aid box, fire extinguisher, triangle reflector, tools and spanners, VHF and Codan transmission, Radio and Cassettes compacts and supported by vehicle inventory card/sheet inside the vehicle.
- Re-fueling the vehicle in time.
- To make sure the vehicle is brought to work when due for service.
- Ensure the vehicle Log book is appropriately filled for any trip approved. And not to do any trip without approval.
- Report all defects immediately to Project Manager
- Responsible for maintaining TRCS procedures, Rules and regulations regarding the vehicle (and must also adhere to Countries Driving regulations)
- Support project staff on all requirements related to office logistics
- Perform all other duties as assigned by his/her supervisors.
Community Mobilization Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the implementation and supervision of all planned community activities.
- Responsible for conducting community meetings with relevant stakeholders for the identification of water, sanitation and hygiene interventions.

- Demonstrable knowledge on WATSAN approach for participatory and community diagnosis (e.g; Participatory Hygiene Assessment Sanitation Transformation (PHAST), Community Lead to Total Sanitation (CLTS), School-WASH- Guideline…).
- Responsible for supervision and monitoring the selected community WATSAN promoters on selected water, sanitation and hygiene topics and others volunteers.
- Implement and develop WATSAN and Climate Change Campaigns.
- Compile and collect data field for evaluation indicators of verifiable objectives of the project.
- Advice the project manager on how to improvement WATSAN interventions with the agro pastoral communities.
- Prepare activity and progress reports at the end of week, month and year.
- Identification of WATSAN activities to be implemented in an eventual project proposal.

- Perform any other duties assigned by his/her supervisors from time to time.
